Progresso High Fiber Soup Review & Giveaway

I was offer to try the Progresso High Fiber Homestyle Minestrone Soup through MyBlogSpark. On Saturday, I received the package containing the soup and the following day I gave it a try.

I’ve never tried the Progresso Minestrone or any other type of Minestrone soup. So, I wonder how would it taste without no meat. I’ve always ate my soups with meat like chicken or beef, but never with just vegetables.

In the back of my mind I knew I was not going to like it at all, but when I started to cook it on the stove top the aroma of the vegetables and spices were delightful. If it smells this good maybe it’s not so bad. I tried it out I can only say it wasn’t bad at all I wouldn’t mind eating it again.

The Progresso High Fiber Home Style Minestrone soup is an excellent source of fiber, it has full serving of vegetables, it has 110 calories per serving, no msg added, and no artificial flavors. Besides the Minestrones, Progresso has the following varieties Chicken Tuscany, Creamy Tomato Basil, Hearty Vegetable and Noodles in High Fiber.

I forgot to mention when I received the package along with the soup there were two soups mugs and two spoons. Thanks to MyBlogSpark I can host a giveaway.

I have started buying and using whole grain bread and whole grain pasta

I love bran muffins and luckily they are full of fiber, so that’s usually how I start my day and get my fiber intake. We also eat quite a few Nature Valley Granola bars (the crunchy ones) which also have quite a bit of fiber!
All the sandwiches we eat are with whole grain breads.
My goodness – never realized how much fiber we ate 🙂

I would love to win this. We eat soup all of the time in the winter and love Progresso. I also add fiber by eating more veggies, high fiber pasta and bread products and taking a fiber supplement each day.

I add fiber one protein drink mixes to my day. I strive every day to hit the daily recommended allowance of 25…so incorporating fruit, fresh veggies and whole grains works well with the Fiber One Protein Drink Mixes.

    Whole grains!

I try to incorporate a higher level of fiber by staying with the foods that I love to eat. Sometimes that is just as simple as checking out the Nutrition Facts Label. I like to compare the same type of soup but comparing different Nutrition Facts of different company brands.
I eat muffins and veggies and popcorn and apples. I try to make these habits and eventually I no longer have to check nutrition facts as often as I do presently.
